Getting started

File an annual declaration with your local school district superintendent. Include the name and age of each student and the subjects to be covered.

Qualifications

The path you take depends on your qualifications. If you don't meet the Option 2 requirements, you'll need to work with a Washington-certified teacher who provides oversight and assessment.

Assessment

All Washington homeschool students must be assessed annually. Results are for the family — they are not submitted to the school district.
