Getting started
Register with the Delaware Department of Education each year by submitting a Home School Registration form. Include the subjects you plan to cover and your planned schedule.
Assessment
Delaware requires annual assessment. You may use a standardized test or prepare a portfolio for review by a certified teacher.
Required subjects
Cover English, math, science, social studies, health, and PE. Delaware gives families discretion in how these subjects are taught.
